4.1. Prices include VAT but not delivery costs. All prices as displayed on our Website, except in the case of error, will be in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT, at the prevailing rate, but exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due. The applicable delivery costs will be clearly displayed during the checkout process.

4.2. What happens if we get the price wrong. Despite our best efforts, it is always possible that a pricing error on our Website may occur. If the product you ordered was incorrectly priced, we will normally, at our discretion, either (i) contact you and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or (ii) cancel the order, or (iii) reject your order and notify you of the rejection. Orders will not be accepted if there is a pricing error.

4.3. Price changes. Prices are subject to change without notice. Any subsequent purchases of the same product cannot be guaranteed at the same price, but changes will not affect your order, it being understood that the price of the product is the price on the day of the order.

4.4. When you must pay and how you must pay. We will charge your credit or debit card upon placing your order (except where we state otherwise in this section 4.4 below). 5. DELIVERING THE PRODUCTS

5.1. Delivery information and costs. Orders from the UK website can only be delivered to addresses in the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. In placing an order you confirm that you are purchasing the product from within the UK, the Channel Islands and/ or the Isle of Man. Please note we cannot deliver to British Forces Post Office (BFPO) addresses. Delivery fees are calculated according to the products, the total amount of the order and the delivery service chosen. Standard Delivery is FREE for all orders over £50. Delivery is within 3 to 5 business days. Please note that business days are Monday to Friday, but exclude public holidays. Every effort will be made to meet these delivery timescales, but this cannot be guaranteed in some parts of the Territory. If the first attempt at home delivery fails, ParcelForce will automatically attempt to deliver the next working day if the parcel has not been left at a local Post Office or with a neighbour. Alternatively you can rearrange an alternative redelivery or pick up, which is available for a period of 7 business days. We recommend to download the free application from ParcelForce in order to track your parcel.

5.2. Standard product pricing policy. Cooks Depot operates a standard product pricing policy in the Territory, meaning that customers are charged the same prices irrespective of where they live. We believe that price integrity within any currency zone is important. Therefore, no tax refunds will be granted for orders placed and shipped to the Channel Islands.

5.3. Delay in delivery. If our supply of the products is delayed for any reason, then we will inform you as soon as possible. We are not responsible for delays outside our control, however we will do what we can to reduce the delay. As long as we do this, we won't compensate you for the delay, but if we inform you that the delay is likely to be more than 30 days from 7 business days after the date of your order, you may contact our Customer Service Team on info@cooksdepot.co.uk or Freephone 01482 816808 to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for in advance, but not received.

5.4. When you become responsible for the product. Ownership of the product will pass to you once (i) we have received payment in full and (ii) the product is dispatched. We may recover or decline to dispatch to you any products ordered by you at any time, prior to ownership passing, in the case of your breach of these terms and conditions, fraud or negligence. Risk in the product will pass to you, either: (i) when we deliver the product to you (or to your designated third person); or (ii) if you chose to arrange your own collection of the product, when your carrier collects the product from us.

5.5. Reservations. In case of delivery of an obviously damaged or non-conforming package (i.e. opened package), and this despite of the care given not only to the packaging but also in the choice of the carrier, you can (i) refuse the delivery and indicate the reason on the delivery note or (ii) accept the delivery but indicate your reservations on the delivery note and do not sign it. In any case, you must notify the carrier and Cooks Depot UK of the reservations.

6. Right of Cancellation (UK Consumers)

6.1. Your right to cancel

We want to guarantee the total satisfaction of our customers. If you are contracting as a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to cancel your order without giving any reason under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

You may cancel your order (except for products made to your specification or clearly personalised) within fourteen (14) calendar days, starting from the day after delivery of the product.

Delivery is deemed to take place when you, or a person nominated by you, takes physical possession of the product.

  • If your order is delivered in multiple consignments on different days, the cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you receive the last item
  • If you have purchased a set or bundle of items, the right to cancel applies to the whole set, not individual items within it.

6.2. How to exercise your right to cancel

To cancel your order without liability, you must inform us of your decision within 14 calendar days of delivery by one of the following methods:

(i) by telephone on 01482 816808 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm); or (ii) by email to info@cooksdepot.co.uk; or (iii) by post to Cooks Depot, 65 Northumberland Avenue, Kingston Upon Hull; or (iv) by using our cancellation form, with a clear statement of your decision to cancel the contract.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your cancellation notice before the 14-day period has expired.

6.3. Before returning the product

Before returning any product, please contact us at info@cooksdepot.co.uk or on 01482 816808 so that we can provide you with full return instructions.

6.4. How to return the product

If you cancel your order, you must return the product to us within 14 calendar days of notifying us of your cancellation.

The product must be returned unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging, including all accessories, care and use booklets, and labels. Please include a note inside the package clearly stating your full name, contact details, and order number

Returns should be sent to: Cooks Depot House, 65 Northumberland Avenue, Kingston Upon Hull

We ask that you provide evidence of return in the form of four photographs, as follows:

6.4.1. Photograph 1 showing the note with your full name, contact details, and order number; 6.4.2. Photograph 2 showing the product (including labels and booklets) inside the return packaging before sealing; 6.4.3. Photograph 3 showing the sealed return package; and 6.4.4. Photograph 4 showing your postage receipt, including the delivery reference code and cost (and weight if shown).

6.5. Refunds

We will refund the price paid for the product, including the original standard delivery charge (but excluding any additional costs for enhanced delivery options), within 14 calendar days of the earlier of:

(i) the day we receive the returned product; or (ii) the day you provide evidence that the product has been sent back to us.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

 6.6. Return costs

If you cancel your order under this section, you are responsible for the cost of returning the product to us. We recommend using a tracked and insured service

 6.7. Deductions for diminished value

We may reduce your refund if the product has been handled more than is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning.

Under UK consumer law, we are entitled to make a deduction (up to the full purchase price) where the value of the goods has been diminished due to excessive handling. This may apply where, for example:

  • the product is not returned in “as new” condition;
  • labels or tags have been removed;
  • Cooks Depot packaging is damaged; or
  • accessories or documentation are missing.

In some cases, no refund may be due. Our Customer Service Team at info@cooksdepot.co.uk or 01482 816808 can advise you if a deduction is likely to apply.

After that, you are no longer entitled to a refund unless our attempt to repair or replace the product has been unsuccessful.

7.5. Will I receive a refund? If we agree that the product is of unsatisfactory quality, not as described, or has defects, we will refund the price paid for your product and the reasonable cost of return delivery, in each case to the method of payment you used. We will pay this to you within fourteen (14) calendar days beginning with the day on which we agree that you are entitled to a refund. If the reason for the return is not due to a product which is not as ordered or which is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse to accept the returned product and to refuse to refund the purchase price paid.
